In Sanskrit, anahata means “unhurt, unstruck, and unbeaten”.
The Heart chakra is about love, kindness and affection. When it is open, you will naturally feel love and compassion for others. A balanced chakra that is opened allows people to be who they are, instead of attempting to mold them to expectations. Living from Anahata is a joyous and engaging place.
When your Heart chakra is under-active, it can cause a feeling of disconnect and lack of empathy whereas the emotional repercussions include an inability to trust oneself or others. Deep insecurity and fears are also common. These can grow into mental challenges such as manipulative behaviors.
To heal a wounded heart or to open that chakra, you can do some of the following: Nature walks, time spent with family or friends. Green food & drink. Green gemstones and green clothing. Using green oils such as eucalyptus or pine essential oils. Read original blog here.
